"Spacious private villas .. little dated but spotlessly clean and well located. Ideal if you’re not bothered about being beach side. Hire a scooter and whizz up and down the island."

"Breakfast could be improved by the addition of the real coffee. Also As we were in a large family villa there was no mosquito nets which would be easy to fit."

"Very big rooms! lots and lots of space. Nice little extra sitting room area. Lovely well kept grounds. We didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely. Lovely breakfast - plated - lots of options. Very friendly helpful staff. Complex was very quiet and secluded even though on the main road. Lots of restaurants nearby etc. five minute walk across the road to the beach."

"The little sitting room was only a fan so it was too hot to sit in during the day. But was a nice addition. May have just been my room as it was in the sun all day. Our air con was a bit lack lustre and room was super hot and took a while to cool!"

"Front desk people were always helpful. We arranged our tourts through them and they were very helpful with changing our airport shuttle times. We had breakfast included. There was a great variety, perfect portion sizes and very yummy. I loved that there were umbrellas in the pool area. There were was always someone there but never crowded. The pool was a great size and very clean. The rooms were a great size and clean. The housekeeping staff were very helpful when my son was sick. Everything we needed was within walking distance although we did hire scooters to check out other areas. Overall, we loved our stay at Lanta Lapaya."

"Absolutely everything - the complex is well maintained with beautiful gardens and the pool was spotless with daily cleaning including the pump and filters. The studio we stayed in was spacious, clean and more than adequate. All rooms were large in size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The selection for breakfast was very impressive. The staff were so friendly and helpful - reception, breakfast room, gardener and cleaning staff are a credit to Lanta Lapaya Resort. I was given a birthday cake and the girls in the breakfast room sang Happy Birthday which was a lovely surprise."

"Our 2nd time staying here and just as good as it was the time before.. Very comfortable bungalows.. Staff are really excellent.. Always smiling.. Pool lovely.. Breakfasts really nice. Scooter hire from reception. Some superb restaurants outside the resort.. Centrally placed so easy to get anywhere on the Island by scooter.. Looking to rebook next year too."

"Very minor little niggles.. Aircon not the quietest in our room but still slept with it on.. You will still get tiny little ants in your room if you leave anything sweet and sticky out overnight like glasses of pop etc. So don't. And still not enough sunbeds around pool... Especially when ignorant guest leave towels on them but unused for all of the morning. But like I say minor points and the positives always win over."

"Just a wonderful location with 7-Elevens in walking distance and some great beach bars also close. The staff were absolutely incredible and the accommodation itself was very nice."

"I didn’t dislike anything as you have to appreciate that you’re in the middle of nowhere so the specs of the property won’t be of a 5* like in Bangkok."

"The rooms were so clean, the facilities were great, the pool area was lovely and the staff were amazing! We stayed here for three nights and had such a lovely time. There are so many breakfast options to choose from. It was my partners birthday and they even organised a cake for him! Would highly recommend staying here."

"Lovely hotel, staff were so helpful. We had a problem with our bunks beds and shower, they moved us immediately but we saw their maintenance man fix shower head as soon as we moved. 2min walk to the beach, with numerous bars and restaurants."

"Limited beds around pool,wasn't really an issue as we always got one but they could do with some more for guest who get to the pool later in the day. Nobody saved chairs which was great. Need bins by pool."

"Very lovely staff, the owner/manager lady is amazing, welcoming and helpful. Rooms very clean spacious, comfy beds, big bathroom, daily cleaning and water supplies, great help with tours, scooter rental and transfers. Lovely pool with breathtaking sunset"

"The location is not the best if you don’t have a scooter - but I suppose most of you will have one. Around the area there are some nice restaurants at the beach but you still need a transport to the main town walking street or for the nicer beaches and sightseeing. Anyways it was lovely and we loved the stuff and the owner"
