"We had been travelling for several hours and found the hotel on booking.com when it was quite late, arrived around after 8 and pleased to be able to have a drink at the bar and a good meal before a good nights sleep, it was a great stop over, we walked along the river and found the history of the area very interesting with lots of information boards and photos of days gone by, would be a nice place to spend a few days. Good food, fabulous breakfast, spotless room, would choose a First Hotel again, staff pleasant."

"Very big rooms. Not sure if all of them are, but ours was an apartment, more than enough to fit a family of 4. Yes, the rooms are not renovated and in retro 80ish ? style. But having small kids, I would pick comfiness over newness. Everything on the premises might have been dated, but it worked. The location is a must! A pin drop from the city square. They have a few own parking spaces, but there was no need, as for the weekends you can park for free on the big parking spaces in front of the hotel. For me it is a steal, considering you got breakfast, big rooms, location and the landlord was a darling."

"The creativity of redeveloping an old "Cold War/2nd World War" network of Bunkers into a Boutique Hotel was awe-inspiring. Anders looked after us v.well with lovely accomodation/shower, toiletries, breakfasts and many nooks and crannies to chill and relax. Okay, so the residence isnt near any shops, but that's not why you would stay there. You'd stay because of the comfort and solitude. It's also only 10 mins drive from the Ferry to Fårö, which is in itself an amazing self-contained community."

The hotel itself was nice, and it was fun that they had a bowling alley — we spent an hour playing there, which was really enjoyable.
