"We really enjoyed our stay at McLeod inn. The staff were amazing, really friendly and smiley. The view is to die for! The room was a great size, air con and far worked perfectly. The bathroom was a decent size. Beds were comfy and plenty of surface space for our luggage. What made our time in Kandy was the Tuk Tuk driver dua Kumar! He was amazing, took us everywhere for a really good price. Also introduced us to Aruna, he does tours around the country. Amazing tour guide. Ask the staff at McLeod inn for their information."

"Stunning restaurant view overlooking the city. The host was incredibly kind. I also really enjoyed the European-style breakfast with some nice fruit platter for dessert. Walking distance from the city center."

"The room was very clean. The hotel has an amazing veranda where one can sit and enjoy the beautiful view to the lake. There was a shortcut which would easily bring you to an area with many restaurant options."

"The breakfast was a bit poor. I would have preferred for them to offer local dishes instead of a more European style breakfast."

"Lovely property with an incredible view over kandy. We saw a beautiful sunset from our balcony. Kandy city is only an easy and scenic 15/20 minute walk away. The room was comfy and clean. Breakfast is simple but tasty and filling. Only a few rooms so it's nice and quiet in the evening"

"Minor complaint but staff were sometimes hard to get hold of ie when checking in and out. However they are super helpful and kind"

"Extraordinary beach resort and top service by all the staff. 5⭐ star quality. This is likely the most unique and authentic accommodation in Sri Lanka and the entire South Asia region. They prepared a special seafood dinner served on a big claypot, and their fruit juices are the best. We highly recommend this resort for a genuine and wild beach experience with the best service. "Like others have said, the food was fantastic! The bed was comfortable and the room sufficient. It's not a luxurious stay, of course, but there's absolutely no denying the value for money here. For the price I paid, the rating can only be top tier. I stayed six nights, as Habarana makes a great starting point for Sigiriya, Polannaruwa and safaris in nearby nature reserves. Thushara made arrangements for me to get to all three of these, and at great prices. The wifi was sketchy, but that's the norm for the whole island, I'm finding. It's fine for looking up info on the Web, but if you're dealing with high-res photos and such, you'll be waiting a while for the task to finish. If what you are after is good value, I have a hard time believing you'd find better than Wild View Stay in the area."
