"Simple but comfortable hotel with a truly exceptional host. Andy knew all his guests by name and was so helpful in booking our kayaking trip and onward bus travel. There are bikes to borrow to visit the island too. Fabulous sunset bar and great cocktails. Delicious breakfast with eggs made to order, homemade banana bread and fresh local coffee. We had a great stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at Don Det Hotel and can highly recommend it. The location is absolutely perfect – right on the riverside, with its own pier, which makes it ideal for boat trips around the islands and along the Mekong. Watching sunsets directly from the riverbank is simply magical. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful, well-kept garden and has a very calm, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, a great start to the day. Bikes are available for rent, which is perfect for cycling around the island and exploring Don Det at your own pace. Several good restaurants, cafés, and small shops are all within easy walking distance. A very special thank you goes to Noy and Andy – the warmest and most welcoming hosts we’ve ever met. From the first moment, we felt truly at home. Their kindness, helpful tips, and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We would definitely come back and warmly recommend this place to anyone visiting the 4,000 Islands."

"Perfect location, very near ferry terminal, unobstructed views across the river, close to restaurants/bars and shops but not too close. Breakfast was really good, great selection. Plenty of rest areas e.g. sofas/loungers/hammocks. Great offering of tours/bicycle hire. Top of it all was the hospitality from Andy, Noy and their team. Andy gave us a very useful lowdown of the islands, available tours and arranged our onward travel."

"This hotel and the staff is wonderfull. Rooms are clean and beds sleep great. It’s the best place on the island to see the sunset. Bar opens at 4 PM, till a bit after sunset, so you can watch it while having a drink. Swiss Andy is a very nice person, he is so friendly, tells you everything about the island and knows all the guests by name. Breakfast is great they make pancakes and eggs on request. I loved this place, Don Det is a great island. The hotel is also on walking distance from the boatlanding, 2 minutes walking. You can rent bikes and they have laundry service."
