"We loved the view from our shady balcony, the beautiful nearby beach, the comfortable king size bed, and the modern kitchen. Our hostess Michela was so helpful. She met us at the airport car rental. We followed her to a grocery store and she waited while we did our shopping. Then we followed her to the cottage and she helped us with our luggage."

The air conditioning is only in the bedroom so the rest of the cottage could be uncomfortably hot. The walkway is uneven and a trip hazard. Several deckboards on the way down need to be replaced. No handrails on some stairs. Galley Bay beach is beautiful, but sometimes rough. A car is needed for travel to calmer beaches on some days.

"Great place. The flat is clean, spacious and equipped with everything you need. Two terraces, the opportunity to eat breakfast with a beautiful view is priceless. The owners were VERY helpful and organised a place for us to store our two SUP boards by the beach. We didn't have to move or pump them up every day. THANKS On-site parking. "Martin and Gabriela are the loveliest hosts you can find. A couple who retired from Bavaria to build their paradise here, they are warm, hospitable, helpful and friendly. And you’ll get to stay in a paradise indeed in your time there. Their breakfast are of home made jam, bread, preserved fruits. The eggs are all from free range chicken reared in their yards. And very good coffee too. You will get to know their lovely pet Rocky, a husky, and another smaller dog whose name I forgot. There’s also a cat Sisi. They will pick u up by car from your bus stop off . Depending on the circumstance they may even give you a tour of the local towns. The rooms are clean and comfortable. With free WiFi. All in all I couldn’t have found better place to stay and hosts! ☺️"

"It was so well equipped for our family. The small pool was great for my 3 year old. We had our own private entrance, patio and outdoor sitting area. It felt safe and provided a restful place for us to call home for 5 days. Many beaches nearby, one within walking distance."

There are tons of mosquitos and tiny ants. This was observed elsewhere on the island that we stayed too and is not particular of this property. Be prepared with your own insect repellent.

"We had a very spacious appartment. The location is amazing you can walk everywhere and start cross country skiing right at the appartment. For us it was a very nice stay and we would come again!"

Overall the appartment came into the years a little bit. Some lights were not working so well for example, the sauna was hard to get very hot and the fan in the bathroom did not work. We did not mind very much but maybe there should be some maintenance works done in the nearer future.

The cabin walls were quite thin, so throughout the stay we could hear clearly what the neighbours were saying, doing and when they were using their bathroom and shower

Location views are wonderful, very quiet location short drive up hill to San Morino and shortdrive down to Rimoni.

"The location was excellent, its best suited for families and those who want to spend time in solitude a little away from hustle and bustle of main road. House is well equipped with ameneties. Be prepared with your own stuff and its like living in your own home."

Nothing But a word of caution the road to house comes down from main Abbottabad road for 6 minutes through some steep slopes, tight turns and a beautiful forest. In the Morning its amazing, at night chance of getting panicked. Dont panick! Just make sure your car has good engine, tyres and breaks.

"Beautiful property atop a hill, with nice views of the surroundings (including a view of the Queen's Palace). Very clean. Elegant decor. Comfortable beds. Access to private swimming pool (competition-length, which is great for serious swimmers), a pool-house equipped with grill, bar, tables, and games (ping pong and foosball), and a private playground for younger children. We ordered 1 meal that was excellent, served in-house by the hosts. The hosts live in a separate unit on the property and they were available whenever we had questions. One of the hosts used to be a competitive swimmer and she gave the children a swim lesson. A relaxing place if you want to get away from the bustle of downtown Tana."

Somewhat difficult to find if you're driving yourself, but that's no fault of the hosts and the isolation does make the property more peaceful. Besides, property access won't be a problem if you ask the hosts to organize transportation for you (either car or motorcycle). There was a water shortage due to a drought at the time of rental, but again that's no fault of the hosts. We just had to be careful about our water consumption and it all worked out just fine. Treat the hosts with respect and they will definitely return the favor (they surprised us with freshly baked bread on our last day!)

"Nos hicieron un upgrade a Villa Marina, un apartamento situado en la colina que domina Red Hook. Las vistas son soberbias; buen equipamiento, piscina “cuasi-privada”. Buena atención del dueño en el paso de la tormenta tropical Ernesto y posteriores consecuencias (leves). Recomendable"

La contrapartida a las buenas vistas es subir arriba. Es necesario coche (lo teníamos). El único “pero” era la extraña dependencia de generadores eléctricos para tener agua corriente dentro de casa. Tras la tormenta hubo que usar generador y andar cambiando bombonas de gas (pero el duelo, Steve, se encargó de ello)

The ground staff were also very helpful. The host, Danielle was very helpful for all the questions I had before the trip and she arranged a tour for us.
