"The staff and value for money are great, and it’s just a couple minutes from the old city walls, so we don’t regret staying there."

"It’s very good for the price but it’s a local hotel, so it’s no Radisson/Hilton. The breakfast could be better, but it’s probably hard to source produce in a small and remote town and I bet you’ll get the same stuff in any other hotel in Khiva. Clean overall, but sheets and towels had stains - not because they didn’t wash them so not an issue, but perhaps because they don’t change them very often."

"The hotel was immaculately decorated and clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful. We had a lovely time."

"This is a new hotel in a perfect location just outside of the Old City walls, so its excellent value for money. The stuff are wonderful and the manager, Akhror, will help with guided tours, and local recommendations, including restaurants. He even drove us himself on a day trip to the fortresses, where we watched the sun set. It was a really good day. The bed was comfy and I think wifi is good in most areas though as we were at the very end of the long hallway, we had a bit of trouble connecting. That said, I know there are plans for more boosters so I think this is a temporary/new hotel growing pain. Air conditioning was good, which is important as it can get hot in Khiva!"

"The hotel is located close to Itchan Kala (5 min walk). The building is new, everything is clean. The staff is polite, friendly and ready to help with money exchange, baggage, etc. Rooms with enough of space, fridges, bottled water, air condition. Breakfasts are tasty; they include pancakes, fruit, eggs, traditional local meals, pastry We’ll be glad to return here."

"New boutique styled hotel on walking distance of the Old City!Rooms are well sized with very comfortable beds with crisp linnen,including a decent bathroom with all emenities.Breakfast is very complete.Very friendly personell,speaking good English as well.They also run a travel agency and offer a lot of possibilities,including taxi service,which was perfect.Money change is also possible.Supermarket around the corner. Very recommended!! Tip: for good food(and local prices;),try the Rustambey Chaikhana near the northern entrance on the outside of the Old City."

"We loved our stay at Anor Qal’a! Location was very convenient- only 5-7 minute walk to Itchan Qala (old city). It’s newly renovated with spacious rooms and bathrooms. It was super clean and immaculate. Breakfast was an array of delicious traditional foods brought to the table. Staff are very friendly and helpful, even packed us some snacks before our outbound flight."

"We booked the Anor Qal'a,but it was being refurbished so they transferred us across the street to the Bibihojar Hotel. It was great. Manager Ahkror, clerk Doniyor, & assistant Dinora were helpful & attentive, with good English spoken. Breakfast was fresh & tasty. Definitely a great place to stay, with a really good restaurant, Khiva Moon, literally 3 minutes walk around the corner-( turn right out of the lobby, in the opposite direction from the route out to the main street with the bank on the corner)."
