Funchal's cathedral, traditional market and Oldt Town are are all within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Santa Clara Monastery and Monte Palace tropical garden are only 200 metres away, as is the Atlantic Ocean. Madeira Airport is 20 km away, and the hotel offers private parking on site.

"It was very centrally located, a short walk to the cathedral, cable car and boat trips. The breakfast was exceptionally good, with local foods- homemade bread and local items plus a cooked breakfast, cereals, fruits of all kinds and Scandinavian style cheese and cold meat."
"The only slight issue was that yhe room was a bit old fashioned. I'd have liked tea and coffee making facilities and it was 1 euro per day to use the safe deposit in your room. Shower was old fashioned but plenty of hot water."

The hotelmanagers at the reception we're just amazing with a lot of energy, kindness and personality! The fridge in the rooms an the airconditioning worked well. "Bed could have been more comfortable. Shower and bath very tiny. I coped but would have been a struggle for someone taller or wider. May be down to the age of the property. Very Art Deco - they have clearly done a recent refurb as the communal areas downstairs were very nicely done."
