"The hotel has been run by the same family for 40 years and the decor consists of items collected by the owners during the years. This is no way minimalistic but full or character and enjoyable. The private parking is in the basement and the floors can be accessed by the lift. The staff are amazingly good and the hotel is spotless. The breakfast is also very good. We highly recommend the Cerrado hotel to visit Lamego and the Douro valley."

"This was a gem of a find 1970s feel, comfy bed though was standard double hotel was spotlessly clean it sparkled. Friendly staff breakfast was comprehensive and big spread freshly made scrambled eggs was very good. On-site Underground carpark was very useful."
