"Everything was perfect. It’s a beautiful place in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. My room was spacious and clean. Richard, who runs the place, is a very nice person and can help you with everything."

"Great location with parking: somewhat tricky to get in, but you get used to it. Staff (Richie and wife) were wonderful, and so was breakfast: savory, sweet, fruit included every day. Pretty property with lush vegetation along a creek. Good Wifi throughout (I found out later that there are different routers covering various areas of the property)"

"Would have liked a nightlight next to the bed. Mosquitos in the room (they "love" me when I'm sleeping...). The fact that it was raining (pouring) most of the days I was there has nothing to do with the property: but plan well, and be aware that towards the end of April/beginning of May the rainy season can start with a bang."

"300m away from the boats to Mamey Island but further away from the beaches . . . the accees to which is paying!!! Good wifi. Comfortable bed, hammock, outside table. Maybe a better place to relax than a base for visiting nearby."

"Not so "wunderbar" as the name would indicate. Not a lot to to do in the area, with very minimal offering of restaurant."

"Good value and location. Very friendly vibe. You can hear monkeys in the distance. Lovely cats and dogs and chill hammocks. Small breakfast included. Big rooms with airco"

"Parking was a bit difficult to get out but we had rented car and were not used to it. Breakfast is included but very limited. Shower was either too hot or cold"

"Phantastic hostal in the jungle, walking distance to the fishing village Puerto Lindo with some restaurants (recommendation: Casa X) from where you can do biat trips to the mangroves and the beautiful islands. Absolutely lovely place, perfect to relax a few days."

"The only reason to stay in that area and village is probably when you get a boat from the Marina close to Puerto Lindo. Therefore its perfect. You can walk from hostal Wunderbar to the Marina. However otherwise the village is not super welcoming and you feel abit out of place as a gringo here…"

"Staff super helpful and friendly. Helped us boked a tour and was very generous to offer us to shower after trip even thought we cheked out, very appreicated! Beautiful gardens and nature."
