"The property is beautifully positioned in a natural environment surrounded by native trees and shrubs, giving a feeling of total privacy. The views across the bay at sunrise and sunset were fabulous."

"The view is beautiful, the room is very comfortable and lovely, and Chris and Jared are very kind, friendly, and extremely helpful. And the pūkeko and weka, and all the other little birds, are wonderful. I hope to come back one day, and I already know where I’ll want to stay."

"We booked a one bedroom chalet for a romantic getaway, and had a great stay at Ocean View Chalets. The chalets are well spaced apart and so very quiet, with beautiful views and surrounded by native bush and birdlife. Sunrise was amazing. The chalet was well appointed with everything we needed, and very clean. The hosts, Chris & Jared, are both very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of places to eat nearby, but the chalet kitchen also has everything you need to cook if you prefer. Would highly recommend and hope to get back for another stay in the future!"

"The only reason I didn’t give top score for facilities is the petit rooms are quite tight, and my husband put his suitcase under the bed , but we did book the smallest unit , so can’t complain."

"We loved the calm vibe at this lovely spot with a gorgeous view, right next to the national park and the Aquataxi base. Chris and Jared run a wonderfully welcoming and relaxing place."
