"It was a perfect location for our stopover while travelling from the Bay of Islands back home to Palmerston. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating with our request for late check-in and stayed up for us. The breakfast was very nice and lots to choose from."

"Amazing lovely couple who owns it, they are truly great and so nice! Loved the room and the bed was really comfy and good to sleep in. Good breakfast with many alternatives, something for everyone! Really clean and fresh, both in the room and bathroom. Many outlets beside the bed so you can charge your phone easily. Close to a little town with some small shops, cafes and an ATM. Great if you’re in need of some hot food, a drink or some groceries. In the kitchen there’s a microwave to use and a water boiler, with a big range of hot drinks to choose from. Really worth the price, will definitely stay here next time I’m in Auckland!"

"The house was beautiful and Hugh. My room was at the far end of the house and I felt like i had it to myself. It was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was all laid out and a lot of variety."

"The location suited perfectly. Our hostess was friendly and professional. We had a spacious, light-filled room, with all amenities. The separate entrance was useful with parking close by. Our room looked out onto a lovely green garden and it was exceptionally quiet. It is conveniently situated close to the beach"

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"
