"This is really a detail but having a broom to remove the water in the bathroom would have been great to avoid having water everywhere when needing to use the toilet."

"I really liked the friendly staff at Avalon House. They were humble, polite, and very helpful. They also gave me great advice about beautiful places to visit around Kathmandu. If you’re looking for a place to stay, need help with plane or bus tickets, or want a trekking related experience, they can arrange it all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!"

"The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. They look after you and make you feel very comfortable. The location is just great, just some steps away from busy Thamel area but close enough to get everywhere at a walking distance."

"The owner and its employees are very, very nice and helpful. The location is very close to the busy part of Thamel, but not too close, meaning it is quiet but still close to all the good restaurants of Thamel. Roof terrace is nice, too."

"My stay at this hotel was fantastic I was only here for one night but it was a night that I wish I could stay a few more nights! On my way out in the morning, the owner greeted me with a warm smile and we had some coffee together and talked about my experience and gave me some better advice than the plan I had made for my day, which I’m glad I listened to because I got a beautiful view of a mountain out of it! Friendly service and a respectful environment, the next time I come back up to this valley I’m looking forward to staying here. No issues with the language barrier, I am from America but was totally able to get around fine at this property, parking is no issue and it is close to plenty of restaurants although they have great cooking in-house as well!"

"La struttura è carina, curata e pulita. Le stanze sono casette in legno con un piccolo patio esterno dotato di tavolo e sedie. Dentro sono spaziose e funziona tutto perfettamente. Bagno dotato di tutti i comfort. Il personale è eccezionalmente gentile e premuroso, oltre che professionale. Sono super organizzati. Si mangia anche bene, hanno un orto che serve la cucina (sostanzialmente è impossibile cenare fuori dal resort dato che si trova a ridosso della giungla, con la prima vera cittadina a circa 30 minuti di auto). Buona anche la colazione. Organizzano vari tour, con la jeep e a piedi. Prezzi corretti. Il general manager è sempre presente per ogni necessità e fornisce ottimi consigli sulle attività da fare nell’area. Bravi e grazie!"
