"Rachid and all the staff at the riad were so attentive and made us feel very welcome both before and throughout our stay. The decor is beautiful, some authentic pieces, the photographs are accurate. The breakfast each morning was great, fresh coffee, yogurts, bread and Msemen as well as omelette or pancakes and always orange juice and bread with spreads! In typical Riad style access is slightly hidden but very well connected to the medina and a lot of places of interest. A quiet, calm retreat from the busyness of Marrakech. We would definitely go back!"

"Rachid is a wonderful host. The Riad is a calm oasis away from the crazy chaos of the souk- lots of beautiful tilework, lush plants, a comfortable sitting room with books and games and a very nice roof terrace. Location is great, the souk, some attractions and good restaurants within 10 to 20 minutes walking distance. Breakfast is good. Room was the same as photos. Great shower. Air con and plug in heater in room. Very peaceful when guests are considerate! If I was returning to Marrakech I would absolutely stay there again!"

"Wifi was terrible in the bedroom though much better in the courtyard and the sitting room. Some flies at breakfast as mentioned by others. Mattress very hard, may not be to everyone's taste. Bed against the wall on one side which may be difficult for some. Found the lack of natural daylight a bit difficult after a few days but was still happy to have experienced a Riad!"

"Our host Mohamed was absolutely the best! So warm and hospitable welcoming, he took care of us during the whole stay. The Riad was really amazing, we enjoyed a lot the rooftop, we had great breakfast. Everything was super super nice! Totally recommend staying here!"

"We were traveling together as two friends, and we can say with complete sincerity: this was one of the warmest and most heartfelt stays we have ever experienced. From the very first moment, we felt not like guests, but like truly welcomed and cherished people. We have never met such genuine kindness, care, and hospitality before. The riad became our cozy home during our time in Marrakech. We were always helped, guided, and supported, and shown Morocco in all its beauty — real, vibrant, and full of warmth. This was not just a stay in a riad in Marrakech, but an experience that felt as if we were staying with close relatives who were truly happy to have us. We leave with not only memories of Marrakech, but also with a deep sense of gratitude and warmth in our hearts. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. We will definitely return 🤍"

"The Wi-Fi was not always working during our stay, but honestly we didn’t come to Marrakech to sit on the internet. Still, it would be wonderful if this could be improved for future guests."

"We had a lovely stay at Riad Merstane. Rachid was so friendly and helpful. He provided a really useful map to navigate the local area until we were familiar. The riad is so comfortable, clean and homely. We enjoyed breakfast in the beautiful inner courtyard to start the day. We loved the location. It’s within the medina walls but outside the main centre so lovely and quiet but we felt very safe the whole time. It was a short but interesting walk into the centre. Highly recommended."
