Villa Océane

"We stayed for 5 nights on a honeymoon trip. The hotel is very relaxing, with a stunning view of the ocean and coastline for sunrise and sunset. We loved the ambient noise of the waves which can be heard throughout the property. The staff here are incredible - Indika and the team were highly professional, courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was a multi-course meal every day with different options available - always delicious. We had dinner on several occasions here which was also always fantastic, in particular the Devilled Prawns was one of our favorite meals we had in Sri Lanka. There are also plenty of nice restaurants and cafes nearby."

"We had a fabulous Christmas break at Villa Oceane and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location is absolutely stunning — a popular surf spot and a fantastic place for turtle watching. It’s set in a quieter area away from busy Mirissa, which we really appreciated, and yet there are many cafes and great food spots nearby. Breakfast was included and was absolutely amazing - make sure to try the Sri Lankan breakfast while visiting. The villa truly wouldn’t be the same without its welcoming and incredibly attentive staff. Indika is one of the loveliest hosts we’ve ever met and made our stay feel extra special. Overall, we can’t recommend Villa Oceane highly enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and truly wholesome break."

"Amazing peaceful spot to base yourself near Mirissa and Weligama. Surf spot and turtle watching right out the front too. Rooms were really nice and the pool was amazing. Great places to eat and drinks within walking distance and a short tuk tuk ride to the beaches for swimming."

"Air con in the room was super noisy even with the fan turned down, but otherwise great spot and highly recommend."

"Exceptional service from all the wonderful staff, we felt very looked after from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Saman for being so welcoming as well as the junior staff, chef & wonderful gardener. An outstanding property & a well looked after garden & pool area. We had booked half board and we were pleased as all of the food portions were huge. Waking up to the serene view is worth staying here."

"We felt it was a bit overpriced as it lacked some amenities that we had in our other hotel stays e.g. toothbrush kit, moisturiser, robe. All these things could have made the stay a bit more special. We paid for half board and were surprised they charged us for the soft drinks we had ordered alongside our meal, on check out. I adored the dogs on site, but they did wake us up barking at 5:30am on most nights (not the most romantic for our honeymoon stay)."

"The location is exceptional - right on the beach and nestled in a charming surfer town. The staff were outstanding and even helped us arrange transport to our next destination. The on-site chef was excellent and made every meal a pleasure."
