"Fantastic location - seconds from door of our family room to the beach. The hotel was close to restaurants and shops but just set back - making it convenient and quiet. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Helpfully the manager let us store our luggage after check-out. Beach outside was kept clean."

"Fantastic location, peaceful, excellent service & fair prices. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and the onsite restaurant food was super tasty. I’ll be pre-ordering the Traditional Sri Lankan breakfast again - yum! My friends and I could not have asked for more to relax on 30 May in the Deluxe Double Rooms with Sea View. With a cold drink in hand & perfect breeze, I plan to bring my family next time. I particularly loved the grass, playful squirrels & group dining table area - please keep those features! Big thanks to all who work there!!"

"We booked for 3days and stayed for 2 additional days. We had a 2 bedroom cabana for 5 people, 2 bathrooms. The staff was very kind and helpfull! The breakfast top, with great view! We recommend their pineapple-coconut juice, very tasty! Def recommendable! Thanks Hassan&crew!"

"These are beautiful modern apartments on the ocean front, with Divinguru (excellent) next door. (Their restaurant is far better!). Fab 20m pool. All high quality. Fair value for £80/night for two double rooms . We were shoulder season (end of April) & everywhere very quiet. Diving isn’t the best as others have said. & very bleached."

"The best accommodation and host we have had in Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect. The place was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Heshan (our host) was super nice and helpful. He even drove us to Sigiriya and showed us 2 temples on the way for a good price. The 2 staff members working with Heshan were super nice as well. On top of all that, there is a super cosy rooftop where you can chill, eat breakfast and have dinner. We really wish we could have stayed here longer."

"We had a fantastic stay at Rivendell Hotel during our time in Kandy. The hotel is set up in the hills, giving beautiful views and surrounding greenery – especially lovely in the early morning and at sunset on the roof top swimming pool. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice view. The room had a bar fridge & tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and happy to assist with any requests transport or local recommendations.Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of Sri Lankan and Western options.The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind after exploring Kandy. It’s close enough to the city centre to visit places like the Temple of the Tooth, but far enough away to enjoy some quiet time. Highly recommend Rivendell Hotel for anyone visiting Kandy – great value, lovely staff, and stunning views!"
