Surrounded by 50 hectares of its own vineyards, Locanda Palazzone is just 5 km outside of Orvieto. It features a garden with swimming pool and panoramic countryside views. Locanda Palazzone is a charming and historic building, built in 1300 in celebration of the first Jubilee. It features spacious suites with original features such as wood-beamed ceilings or wood floors. All air-conditioned, they also feature a comfortable lounge with flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee-making facilities. A buffet breakfast of homemade croissants, cakes and marmalades is served each morning. The restaurant, open on request, serves a fixed menu of Umbrian specialities at dinner. Free parking is provided at the Locanda, which is only 10 minutes' drive from Orvieto Cathedral. It is easily reached from the A1 motorway and is 20 km from Lake Bolsena.

"We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable — we slept really well. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and quiet, perfect for a short getaway. Great value for money and we would happily stay here again."

"To start with, the location is not only excellent (right in the middle of historical Viterbo, walking distance to most things), but you also have parking inside (and space for normal-sized cars too), which can be a life saver when travelling by car. Nice (and very clean) room, and for a very reasonable price (have been to city accommodations half as good for twice the price). Also provided disposable indoor slippers, which is instantly a +1. Lastly, can mention that the owner also has a nearby restaurant (c. 2min walk), called La Chimera, which I can strongly recommend. I do not normally give 10/10 unless very deserving, i.e. going above and beyond, but this place deserves it."
