Less than 5 minutes' walk from the dock, Hotel Poseidon is in Lipari centre. The family-run hotel is set in an ancient villa on the largest of the Aeolian Islands. Decorated in an Aeolian style, rooms here are air conditioned and many have a balcony or patio. They all come with a flat-screen TV, fridge and bathroom with hairdryer. The Poseidon Hotel has free Wi-Fi in public areas. A buffet breakfast is served each morning and features mainly sweet food with some savoury items. The nearest public beach is just 400 metres away, while guests have discounts at Canneto beach 3 km away. "Lovely hotel, extremely clean and tidy. Great size rooms, very comfortable & friendly hosts. The location is excellent & quiet. 2 mins walk from where the ferry comes in and just off the Main Street - which has lots of lovely little shops and restaurants & very cute old buildings (Lipari exceeded my expectations)."
