"The cabins were beautiful. Lovely location. Nice dinner. Super comfortable beds and great shower with finally a heated towel rail to dry wet swimming costumes!!!"

"Unfortunately the sauna was broken which is a shame and the hot tub was not very hot which was uncomfortable given the outside -10deg"

"The hotel is really good, it is 5 minutes outside Borgarnes. The position is perfect to see the Northern Lights as it is outside town. We stayed in a cabin which was very spacious and cosy. Furniture was pretty new and the entire cabin was clean and well equipped. Special mention to the bathroom and shower, big and with perfect pressure. We had breakfast included and we absolutely recommend it; it had several sweet and savoury options and it was tasty. We also tried the hotel restaurant for a dinner; everything was delicious, although a bit pricy (but proportioned to Iceland prices). There was a hot-tub right outside our cabin, very nice!"

"Location was great for touring Snaefellas Peninsula. We stayed in cabin and was well equipped, spacious, comfortable and peaceful. Booked 1 but stayed 2 nights. It’s not a fancy hotel but it’s a very comfortable inviting one with friendly staff. Good value with breakfast included. Dinner menu limited but tasty. Great views, great spot for northern lights too! Hotel offer a call to let you know if lights visible."

"Like other reviews some of the sauna and hot tubs are still out of action. Borganes has limited dining out options."

"We actually ended up in this property because we had to leave the previous one night earlier cause it was not habitable at all. We LOVED this one. The cabin was great. Very clean, very warm. The bathroom are exceptionally clean and very well designed. We loved everything about this property. The breakfast was great with more options that we had in other properties. The property is close to the city and at the same time is far enough to be very quiet and peaceful. Once again we loved everything."

"we stayed at a cabine so was a biiiig place and quite/calm for a couple. heated floor of the room was cozy however as it was a cabine, it took time to warm the place… bathroom had a lot of wind due to the exhaust so we felt cold. deco was simple and good. we could see a bit of northern lights from our room after a wake up call from the staff :) good for visiting the snaefelness peninsula"

"access of the cabine to the main facilities of the hotel could be improved. a lot of mug during the walk to the cabin/hotel and to go to main facilities was better to go with car. also, a lot of noises from heating floor during the night and at the beginning we even thought it could be an animal inside lol"

"What a gorgeous hotel. We booked a luxury bungalow and it was as good as its description - modern luxury and comfort in every detail. The location was fabulous and we got to see a strong Aurora show from the grounds. We had an excellent breakfast as part of the package."

"We were upgraded from a family studio to the cabins and we were sooo glad. They were amazing. Detached, modern, quiet. Beautiful big beds with views out to the course. Loved the added feature of a phone call if there was an aurora visible in the night sky. We paid for breakfast and it was worth it. A lovely large selection of food available, including pancakes and waffles."

"Oh my, what a great surprise to come here and experience high expertised staff, good food, beautiful and spacious rooms. We even had a room for 3 adults and did we enjoy our stay? 100%!"

"The sauna and hot tubs were out of order, but we enjoyed our alternative (wine and dine!) enough, that we forgot all about it. It was also due to the historically bad weather the days before, so it was also out of their control."
