The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. "Our booking was made very late and despite this we were so warmly welcomed. There was beautiful Cape Verdean music being played when we arrived by two incredible musicians which was lovely. And the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The fresh mango juice was particularly mouthwatering!"

You cannot walk to the beach. Taxis are expensive.

Rugged floors looked not too clean, there were a few hairs on the bed (which I don't care too much but could be an issue for some others)

"Zara Village exceeded our expectations! The staff were extremely friendly and the restaurant was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to access Lokobe, they even organised our guide. Our favourite was having cocktails by the infinity pool. This was definitely a highlight of our trip."

"The property has a natural look/ design - which I loved - simple but with everything you need. The bed was especially comfortable. And we were right on the beach so slept to the sound of the sea and woke up to drink our morning coffee looking out to the sea. Really comfy beach beds and great service for food and drinks. The staff so friendly and welcoming - a great atmosphere- peaceful, spacious, tranquil. You can walk along the beach to other bars or restaurants with a much more hectic vibe- it always felt like a blessing to return to Happy Corner. We felt very lucky to have found such a place- a slice of paradise!"

"Large, clean and modern room with a hairdryer and enough plugs. Parking available. Nice breakfast with home-made yogurt and jams. Internet was satisfactory. The dinner at a (somewhat high) price of 30 Euro per person was good. Good service overall. The owner, Mr. Desprairies, is very professional."

Though we did like the breakfast, we saw that eggs are offered for an extra charge. In most hotels this is standard, so I would recommend to just include them in breakfast. Also, the coffee was so so.
