"Breakfast was delicious. The chef explained what the breakfast menu was . Breakfast is made only when the guest tell the chef what they would like to eat . Tea was delicious too which was served with a few biscuits."

"What a lovely old-style Bengali hotel, in a great part of town. The boys on the desk were really helpful with breakfasts, taxis and other stuff. Friendly and accommodating. The room was large and comfy, with towels and toiletries, books and paintings. We loved our stay in Cal, what a great place to see this city from. Oh, the shower was the best supply of hot water we’ve had in India in three weeks!!"

"Shower curtain needs bleaching. Electrics in the bathroom (!!) need placing outside the wet room (but then that is India for you!) and general updating. But overall this was a great room at this budget and well worth it… thanks Blue Chip!"

"Secluded location with amazing views. A great place to chill out with family and friends. The staff were excellent - very friendly, helpful and available. They arranged a car and driver for us to visit the local beaches and sights. The food at the restaurant was also very good and the menu was varied enough as not to become repetitive. The staff put on a great BBQ and cake for our daughter’s birthday. Having the pool to ourselves was really good too, and the kayaking trip was much enjoyed."

"A budget hotel in the historic center of Ahmedabad. The room was relatively clean, the internet was decent, the bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh (not always guaranteed for budget hotels in India), and the shower had hot water. Don't expect luxury for the price, but it's acceptable for a budget traveler."
