Dorms are by the main road and very noisy with traffic so hard to sleep. Creaky floorboards also.

Locating the Da Terra at night is not straightforward. It is surrounded by several houses and some distance off the road.

The property itself is stunning, perfectly located (a walkable radius from most important landmarks), with a rooftop view that’s hard to beat. But what really made the experience was the vibe—there’s such a natural sense of community here that just pulls you in. What I loved and will miss the most were the owners and staff, who are easily some of the warmest, most genuine people I met on this trip. Somehow managed to feel like I’d known them for ages by the time I left. Left with a full heart and would 100% want to stay here again."

"This place is simply fabulous - clean, quiet, cozy, everything works, in a great location near night market, mall, fast food etc, easily reachable by bus, yet, some rooms face forest. It's self check-in, all information is provided timely and clearly, communication is brilliant and any questions promptly answered. One of the best place to stay ever."

There is nothing not to like. But, as you need a code to enter your room, its probably not a good idea to rush to the toilet in the middle of the night, and forgetting phone with the code in the room 😊 (didn't happen, but could 🤣). Love it here...

"This is a very nice hostel with extremely nice staff members and very comfortable beds. I was quite fortunate that I had an entire room to myself due to my visit being in January (the quiet season). The common is also very nice and the beach is very close by. Overall, this hostel is excellent value for money!"

While it is great that this hostel is right next to the beach, it is a little bit of a walk from the main train station (around 20 minutes). It also gets a little confusing when it comes to how to get to the hostel when crossing the bridge. These are only minor things but worth mentioning, especially if you are walking from the main train station.

"Welcoming host, good condition of the rooms and bathroom. It felt safe to walk around in the Neighbourhood (during daytime), people seemed friendly and interested. Note that it is not a touristy area, what makes the experience of visiting Praia more authentic."
