Very hard bed and it was cold during my stay - there was heating in the room but not the bathroom.

Dumbea sur Mer is basically a boring suburb of McMansion houses and a shopping mall.

"Malaki and his family were great hosts! Very helpful and friendly. Sorted out lots of things for us with no fuss, even though we booked last minute and had limited planning. We had some good laughs! Good view of volcano, and hear the rumbling! Simple and authentic ni-Van accommodation."

Malaki still had a few things to finish... eg switching for solar lights and some plumbing... but we were 2nd guests, so it will be more complete for next guests

Not very soundproof when people shower or watch Northern lights late at night. Bring earplugs when sensitive.

I wish you nothing but the best. I hope anyone that books your house respects and appreciates you and your beautiful whare/ house that you work hard to maintain. "The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was truly excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made everything so convenient. We also loved the swing and theres free horse riding experience provided. it was such a unique and enjoyable touch."

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.
