"I had an amazing stay . The staff are really friendly and helpful . Very clean and confirtable . Easy access to town and very safe and secured ."

"Due to a late booking they were overbooked and we were sent to another place. They drove us there and brang us dinner aswell. The rooms there were ok. If you wanna stay there book in advance or call them directly. They told us its a famous place where anlot of people want to stay."

"Perfect base for visiting the stone circle archaeological sites inland. Very good price for the rooms, clean, and a comfortable, although slightly firm, bed. The aircon worked all night, which is a necessity for a good night sleep in the local hot climate. The car could be parked inside, so that was very convenient."
"No warm water and not a lot of water from the shower. Bring your own insect net. The room could do with hook in the ceiling for the net. No meals available."

"Star Lodge is well located for seeing the stone circles in Wassu, doing trips on the Gambia river including Fort St James (Kunta Kinteh Island). Very nice people running Star Lodge. Had a very pleasant stay."

"From the moment we arrived we were taken such good care of. Itineraries and excursions were recommended and we felt that we were staying with friends. We kept extending our stay. By far the best experience of our trip. We learned so much about the culture & hospitality of the Gambia. Fully recommend seeing the chimps & hippos and we were so lucky to experience a wrestling match & a wedding. Yusef & his team are absolutely wonderful!"

"Where do I start? Staying at the Star Lodge has exceeded every expectation. We were welcomed with open arms and made sure we were safe, comfortable and well-fed. Staying in Farafenni is an experience because it is not a tourist town, we have made friends for life and have been shown the culture, lifestyle and the abundance of friendliness the Gambian people live with. I would definitely recommend Star Lodge."
