"Location brilliant with great access to Skipton’s shops and attractions. Food was beautiful with local produce clearly showcased and prepared with such care. Service was friendly and attentive with everyone working together to ensure we enjoyed the experience."

"Stayed overnight at The Curious Fox. An excellent experience. Brilliant location, right next to the Castle and Church, at the top of the main shopping street, and close to the canal. Very interesting and quirky building, full of character. We received a very warm welcome and loved the atmosphere of the place and the attude os the staff. We had arranged to eat at a nearby restaurant but saw enough of the Curious Fox food to be impressed, would certainly try eating here. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The rooms were full of character - note that they vary considerably in size. I can certainly vouch for my bed being extreemly comfortable and the supply of tea, coffee, toiletries etc was generous. Perhaps the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Recommend definitely."

"Hopefully a temporary problem but, in my room (top floor left), it was impossible to turn the basin tap on without water going everywhere. I kind of exploded. Otherwise no problems experienced."

"Only stayed one night but its was lovely, a really cosy little room with a comfy bed and working telly. The room was clean and generous with the toiletries they provided aswell as coffee and tea. The location is around a 5 min walk to the center making it really easy to go out for a meal or a drink. It was very quiet at night time aswell making it easy for a good night sleep."

"The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever been in! The shower was a joke. I had to move around to get wet as it only sprayed in one corner. It moved from hot to cold and back again. I get it’s an old building ( I used to live in one so I know the problems) however when the room was £100+ I expected better."

"Black pudding with the breakfast please, the only thing missing. And larger bath towels. While we are no longer as slim as we were (!), we are far from obese, but these struggled to maintain our modesty."
