Located less than 10 minutes’ drive from the National Exhibition Centre, the George & Dragon offers free private parking. Homemade pies and curry feature on the restaurant menu and live sports are shown on the big-screen TV in the bar. Free Wi-Fi is accessible in public areas. The M42 and the M6 motorways are both within a 10-minute drive of the George. Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International Rail Station can also be reached after 10 minutes’ drive. Full English breakfasts and a lunch and dinner menu are served in the dining room, which has a real fire. Guests can also dine in the bright conservatory and takeaway breakfasts and packed lunches can be arranged. Each en suite room has a flat-screen TV, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Free toiletries are provided in each bathroom and there is also a wardrobe in every room.

"Close to Birmingham airport, large car park. Staff & restaurant great."
"Small room, but adequate for an overnight stay. Inaccurate website, says a breakfast box is available for early flights, it isn't. Also parking & shuttle to airport, parking is, but have to arrange taxi yourselves. Delete the website!"

"The food was excellent I had very nice rump steak on my first night cook to perfection. Meal proportoins were very good and the breakfast was lovely."
"I had a room with a double bed and a single. I chose the single as the double was by the window and traffic outside was noisy and I would not sleep. However the mattress on the single bed was so thin I could feel the boards underneath. The bathroom fan was really noisy when the light was turned on which you had to to see as there was no window. I would assume anyone in the other rooms next to mine would of heard it which was quite annoying. On further inspection of the fan, 1. It required a good clean as packed with fluff and 2. There was a vibration issue so maybe if it was secured better it would be less noisy."

"The location was great for the NEC. The lunch menu was good value for money. The younger members of staff were very accommodating. Lady serving breakfast was very sweet and we enjoyed the unlimited juice. It was very clean. Parking was easy and in abundance."
"Unfortunately, the bed springs could be felt in the bed and therefore we didn’t sleep that well. The fan in the room was very noisy but thankfully could be turned off when the light was turned off. The TV was exceptionally small and ill-positioned. The carpet was stained in heavy traffic areas (door ways). The breakfast was included but it was greasy. Overall, it was clean and it was “well-loved” but it needs updating. We booked this as we were heading to the NEC, but we wouldn’t stay here again for the price."
