Villa Duroux

"Where do we start?! Everything about Villa Duroux is simply wonderful: The beautiful peaceful setting, The immaculate Villa Sophie, the lovely pool and gardens, proximity to the Dronne and surrounding villages. But the standout part for us were our fabulous hosts - Richard, Ola, Sophie and Sienna, who made us feel totally at home and went out of their way to make our stay that extra bit special. They warmly welcomed our family and shared their knowledge of the area. They lent us their bikes, booked trips for us and accompanied us to the Montagrillades festival in the nearby village (which was a wonderful evening). There are so many things to see and do in and around the area - we only skimmed the surface of what the Dordorgne has to offer. But that gives us a good excuse to return for another visit!"

"Villa Duroux is the perfect combination of French old world charm with modern facilities. The location is stunning, close enough to a number of pretty villages but peaceful and tranquil. The pool and private garden are idyllic and the whole property is fantastic value for money (and spotlessly clean!). The real differentiator is the hosts who could not do enough for us to make our stay as enjoyable as it could be. Richard and Alex (and their gorgeous daughters) really went above and beyond to enhance our stay. From recommending and booking restaurants and activities for us to opening up their home and giving us access to their personal facilities. We really could not have hoped for a better experience and cannot recommend them highly enough."

"Everything about villa Duroux was perfect, so comfortable and cosy in cooler months. Richard and Ola were such friendly helpful hosts, we received a huge welcome pack, Richard recommended and booked 2 delightful local restaurants for us ,but the star of the show for us ( due to inclement weather) was the fire although we did get to use the gorgeous sun terrace a little. Would highly recommend and definitely go again x"

"Everything. The gîte was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were welcome by Richard, Ola and family who provided us with a very generous welcome hamper. The pool was fantastic. Biking and hiking trails from the door."

"Very nice location in the Dordogne countryside. Rich and Ola were really friendly and helpful. With food on arrival( late in the evening), recommendations and organising trips. The kids loved the pool and playing around the property. Only there for 5 days which was too short. Lots to explore in the area."

Tucked away amongst the sunflowers, but close enough to the two beautiful local villages, the perfect spot for complete relaxation, if that's what you are looking for! on the flipside, if you are looking for an all action holiday with running, biking, canoeing and strength training, Ola is on hand for you ! Rich and Ola are wonderful hosts, who really care about their guests, helping you in any way that they can, to ensure you have the best time. the accommodation is spotlessly clean, bright and beautifully decorated, with everything you could possibly need. It's the special personal touches that Richard and Ola take the time and thought to make, that ensure you have a wonderful time! You will be sad to leave, and you will definitely leave villa duroux with a little piece of your heart !"

"An impeccably neat and tidy holiday cottage in a beautiful country side setting. The cottage was equipped with anything you could need including outdoor bbq and terrace, Sun loungers and a good kitchen."

"Quelle surprise, la maison, le jardin, les équipements, le salon tout a été parfait, confortable et joliment décorée. Un grand merci aux propriétaires de leur gentillesse et de leur sens de l'accueil (Panier garni +++ : jamais vu cela) Gros plus également avec la piscine, le jardin entretenus avec soin... C'était parfait, les environs sont top également avec la rivière dans laquelle on s'est baignée et Brantome tout proche que nous avons traversé en canoé Une adresse unique....A refaire"
