"Amazing place with a warm welcome for 2 wet, muddy and tired cyclists. Food and hospitality were exceptional and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Clean and comfortable place to stay."

"Por poner les pedimos la cena sin preguntar cuánto nos costaría y suponíamos y esperábamos que fuese caro,pero fue extremadamente caro, pero la verdad pasamos un buen rato"
"La ubicación es privilegiada. Muy tranquilo y con unas vistas preciosas a todo el pirineo. Los dueños son muy hospitalarios y agradables. Veníamos de hacer una ruta de más de 60 Km en bici y nos recibieron con una cervecita bien fría. Karl es un excelente cocinero y nos preparó una cena súper rica que disfrutamos en la terraza viendo la puesta de sol. La habitación muy limpia y cómoda!"

"We were looking for an experience different from a usual hotel stay & La Chartreuse Haut-Bailly definitely offered that. The Chateau is clean and beautiful. Can tell they refurbished it & tastefully done with it’s own charm. The breakfast experience is superb, just like it was mentioned in other review. We can tell the host takes a lot of pride in preparing the breakfast from table layout to the food. It’s not just tastefully done, it’s delicious as well. We looked forward to breakfast everyday. We left something behind after check out and the staff arranged it to be shipped back to our country of residence. We were so grateful for that so thank you so much to the team at La Chartreuse Haut-Bailly for your hospitality. 😌"

"Everything. Guy, the host is a very friendly, warm and welcoming person. We spoke in French so I don't know about other languages but he provides his guests with lots of useful info about the area and Dordogne in general. The cottage is well equipped with a lovely garden."
