"Stunning location, so green and beautiful gardens. Restaurant looked good, although closed on Saturday for a wedding so we only had coffees. Spacious 2 bedroom apartment plenty big enough for family of 4. Kids loved the swimming pool. Lots of parking and walking distance to the lovely village centre with a few bars and restaurants as well as a bakery and chocolate shop."

"The pool area could do with a bit of TLC. The apartment could be easily improved with new toilet seats and a lick of paint. But overall budget accommodation at a budget price which suited us just fine."

"Comfortable bed, clean, fairly adequate size for 2 adults (could be tight to include even 2 children), good shower power, though shower holder was broken, check-in instructions were fine, cabins looked good, as there was a steep slope up to the cabin it was good to be able to drive our car up to the cabin to unload luggage, & then park below in carpark"

"No shower mat, shower holder was broken, arriived Sunday evening, didn't meet any staff though info brochure said reception would be open on Mon. morning at 9am. Reception never opened. No restaurant facilities, no breakfast, no super markets or restaurants open on Sunday in La Bastide Clairence. Lucky to find a pizza van in the village! . No A.C. so cabin was really warm all night, pool was locked.........expensive at €116, basically for a bed and a shower, and no human contact or opportunity for breakfast"

"Beds and pillows uncomfortable and property tired, needs sprucing and modernising. Placed in a ground floor apartment and it sounded like the people upstairs were riding a horse around all night, very noisy and we didn't get any sleep."

"We were a bit unlucky with repairs at the swimming pool, which was out of order during our stay. But certainly an accommodation to return to!"

"Only stayed for a couple of nights but it is a good location from which to visit Bayonne and Biarritz. Ate at the restaurant the 1st night. Had the large steak sharer. It was OK but I've had better. Nice sized rooms"

"Beds were quite hard. No air-conditioning (which I knew about) but I would have expected a fan in the bedroom. Very hot at night."

"A Quiet, good location, nice pool (though did not seem to be heated), easy parking just outside the property boundary but in their own area. There are also electric charging points for 4 vehicles on the property. Cooking facilities were reasonable though the multipurpose Microwave/Grill/Oven was a little challenging. There was a good selection of plates, pans, utensils, glasses and cutlery. There is a small "supermarket" in the village (Check opening times!) otherwise you will need to go to Hasparren, about 10km, for an Intermarche supermarket (good, also sells Petrol/Diesel). The village boulangerie is open Sunday AM but not Mondays and closes in the middle of the day (check the opening times on Google Maps, they are correct.)"

"Access to the property is via a steep road (not evident from web/map views) and there is no parking adjacent to the individual houses only for loading/unloading. The whole property is located on a steep hillside (a Colline). The property we stayed in was, how shall we say, a little tired. The food cupboard was seriously suffering from woodworm at the back and the bath/shower was, while fully servicable, showing its age. There was no safe in the rooms and oddly no hangers in the wardrobe. Their website claims they provide bedding, towels and toilet paper. while the 1st 2 were provided and changed each week the toilet paper is something you must provide for yourself after the 1st 2 rolls that they provide!"
