"My hosts were extremely helpful with details on where to dine and arranging a taxi for me to Sancerre the following day. Breakfast was delicious, and Marit and her husband were most welcoming, assisting me with my luggage up the long staircase. It is a perfect location near the train station with the village within easy walking distance. I had a very pleasant stay - thank you."

"I loved staying at La Josephine. The location is exceptional - close to the train station and the city center. Marit et Herve treated me like an old friend. Since I was traveling alone, I especially appreciated this. The breakfast was very good - and so typically French, which I loved! Her coffee was excellent!"

Marit was great - we didn't arrive until later in the afternoon and she had offered to make reservations for us at a local restaurant within walking distance. We very much appreciated that. "Lovely old property about 500m from town centre with big garden and quiet spots to sit. Separate entrance. First floor bedroom with ensuite. Very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast served by host Marit and using locally sourced and home made preserves. Wonderful friendly hosts and they will even do a wash load if you are cyclists. It’s just off the Loire route so we’ll located as a stop off. Marit had booked us into a restaurant in town as it was a Saturday and usually booked out. Excellent food and not expensive."
