"Location was good for travelling by road to Bordeaux from Calais and sightseeing nearby plantations."

"We only stayed one night but it was a very relaxing evening and super value for money. This accommodation is one wing of the host's large house. It was a very big size and well-equipped. The upstairs was particularly impressive, with three beautiful and spacious bedrooms to choose from. Would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here if you are passing through the area. Thanks for your hospitality."

"We had a perfect stay at La belle Charentaise! Plenty of room, comfortable beds, secure driveway and the whole space around the house, very quiet location. The hosts were very accommodating, kind and went over and beyond to make sure we had a great time! I cannot thank them enough for helping us to locate our spare car keys, which we left somewhere within the property and only realised hundreds of miles away - they were so kind and sent them to us - I will never forget that! THANK YOU!"

"We enjoyed the peace and tranquility and were able to explore the area, visiting Cognac and Angeloume nearby. The roads were a joy to drive with fields of sunflowers, vineyards and wheat all around. Self catering was perfect and really nice to eat outside in the shade or sit and read."

"Very nice room (with possibility for a second room for two sharing the bathroom if you are travelling with 4) with own small balcony in small village in Perigord-Noir. Very friendly and helpful owner Bernard. Good breakfast. Email him in advance if you would like to ask him for a dinner."

"We had a great 8-night stay in Chalet L Altizoard. The house is super cozy yet very modern. It is excellently equipped. All furniture and appliances are new, the sauna and jacuzzi are top, the beds are very comfortable and the views of the mountain and the city are awesome. Caroline is an excellent host and it is obvious she has put a lot of effort in making sure her house is the perfect holiday home."

South facing, it is perfect for evening sunsets after a day exploring the region. 15 mins from Sancerre, 30-50 mins from other beautiful spots and vineyards in the region. Valerie is a great host, highly recommend staying here. Perfect location if you have an event at the Chateau Beaujeu and want your privacy, it is literally 5 mins away."
