"We found a hidden gem of a hotel in a great location, this hotel is excellent and the manager and supporting staff were very friendly and provided a great service. The food is of the highest standard, equal to a fine dining experience as the Owner is a very high quality Chef….loved our stay."

"- the shower head gives out very little water - not sure if this is deliberate as a way of saving water but it doesn't make for a very comfortable shower experience, particularly if you are washing long hair. This is a very minor point though, everything else was excellent."

"The people running this charming place in the French countryside clearly put in a lot of love and effort to make this a pleasant place for their guests, decorated with taste and charm, from the restaurant to the rooms. We arrived quite late, but were still greeted very warmly and cheerfully, a behaviour present throughout our stay. The hosts are very hospitable and love to see their guests happy. Our room was small – we did not book the largest – but perfectly sufficient for one night. For the price asked, one might also get a rundown, anonymous room in some chain hotel besides a busy road in an industrial zone and we greatly preferred the quiet village square outside our window instead. Definitely worth the detour."

"Not meant as a negative comment, but be aware that while Ports-sur-Vienne is quite close to the A10, the closest exits are either a bit north or south, so add some time driving smaller roads to get to the hotel."
