"The double bed is made of 2 single mattresses and whilst it is very comfortable, the downside is that the person sleeping on one side is boxed in and has to step over the other during the night if they need to pop out. Otherwise all good."

"Because the apartment is on the ground floor and the widows are facing the road, so during the night there can be some noise if some crazy motorbikes or cars passing by which, however, is not the fault of the apartment. Just to remind those light sleepers, ear plugs can be really useful"

The décor felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen, giving the space a warm, coastal character. "We could not turn on the heating, and that night was quite cold in Calais, stormy and windy, a bit of heat to warm up after a long drive would have been amazing. The other thing I could say is regarding the coffee machine, it was unfunctional and I could not have a coffee before departure."

"The apartment is decorated so well with a lovely beachy theme. It is spacious and the kitchen is quite big and well equipped! The area is also super convenient - you are in walking distance to everything. The staff we messaged were very nice. The bed was surprisingly pretty comfortable for a fold out too. The TV is quite small but didn't bother us. Overall it is very good value!"

"The front door was super difficult to open, it took us about 30 tries to get in. There needs to be more clear instructions. I had to search through the reviews to find someone else explaining how to open it. You have to turn both the top and bottom lock to the left twice, then the bottom lock a little bit more and push. Coming from Australia our door locks are a bit different and this isn't intuitive. I found the apartment a bit cold and couldn't seem to turn up the heaters. The shower is a bath-shower where you have to hold the shower head up yourself. There was some loud music from the street during the evening (I think from a random market) that we could hear, but it stopped by the time we went to sleep."

"The accommodation was lovely. Very well decorated and well equipped. Plus the owners were really kind and helpful. The location is perfect, you are close to the port but at the same time next to touristic attractions, restaurants and shops."

"The flat was super clean but the bathroom could have been better. Few hairs in the bath and some bugs dead on the toilet, but it was minimal. The bed is from Ikea and has a thinner mattress than most but for a few nights it’s okay. The only real issue I experienced was a bit of noise around 3 am because of some young people shouting in the street after a night out. Since it’s a first floor, the noise from the street is noticeable."
