"Beautiful property in a very quiet part of the town, Maria could not have been more welcoming, showing us around her garden and orchard. It was great to see her chickens wandering around the garden, scratching for food, and of course we enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast. We also received a warm welcome from her cat, one of the friendliest cats I have ever met."

"Both bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely, place was very clean, location is close to Angouleme. Hosts are lovely. Restaurant /bar, small supermarket and bakery just a few minutes walk from house."

"I had a lovely experience here. The location is very accessible by public transport, the hotel is super easy to locate, check in is quick and easy, bed is comfy, sheets were clean and towels also. I was able to leave my luggage there for a few hours after checking out the next day to be free to explore Marseille."

"The gite was clean, well equipped and ideally situated for visiting many of the chateaux in the Loire, Cher and Indrois valleys. The gite is set in the centre of the owner's forest with their own house nearby. The location is very calm, peaceful and private, and it was easy to sleep late, especially with such a comfortable bed! Catherine and her husband Xavier and later their daughter, Hortense, who also lives close by, made us very welcome and we enjoyed an early evening aperitif with them during our stay when we were treated to the sight of a magnificent stag with huge antlers which stood proudly guarding one of the does from his harem that was feeding at the edge of our clearing. A great stay, thankyou Catherine, Xavier and Hortense for your welcome and hospitality - and also the cyclamen plants - Wendy will be sending a photo."

"On arrival did not expect to much but when gate opened and got to meet the host who took me to my room, all changed . I was blown away how nice it was . Did not expect any of this as in photos all did look basic despite having high ratings. Property way way better then in description , super big bed , nice shower , in general place was massive . Host where superior and welcoming , they all as family with little daughter greeted me , was very nice . big terrace overlooking garden , perfect was for my Cuban cigar to smoke :). Coffee, tea making facilities as well as small TV . Really recommend and can give whole 10 Stars for the place .with breakfast being served that did not expect . Thank you very much"

"Heerlijke rustige en prachtige plek om na een dag op pad te zijn geweest hier weer terug te keren. Of om gewoon met een boekje aan het zwembad of in de mooie tuin bij te komen. We werden prima verzorgd door Willem en hij heeft fantastische tips: welke restaurants, waar parkeren, waar naar strand, wat is de moeite waard in de omgeving etc. Dat scheelt een hoop uitzoekwerk. Alles was erg schoon en de inrichting van de kamer was ook heel mooi. Net alles weer geschilderd. We gaan zeker terug!"
