"The location and room size was great. The six bed, female do only was huge and comfortable. It’s a great big, old building."

"My only concern was that the rooms door not lock and with the hostel restaurant open to the public, I was always concerned that anyone could access the dorms with ease. There is one central key that is shared but it’s impossible to ensure the dorm is locked at all times. This can easily be resolved by providing all guests with their own dorm key."

"Great location, only 300 m from the cathedral and main square and river in opposite direction. Food was additional but excellent and great value and on the Wednesday night there were a couple of bands playing who were great. I stayed in a private room with en-suite shower, water nice and hot. Good internet."

"It was difficult to contact a person on reception. Once in the morning when I wanted to leave early to go to Cajas I needed to telephone the hostel to get someone to unlock the door. Then when I wanted to check out but leave my bag in the luggage room for the day, the internal bell to call reception didn’t work, the front door bell didn’t produce anyone and the telephone call wouldn’t go through so ended asking for help from the restaurant staff."

"Loved the very spacious female dorm and had the luxury to only share it with one other woman. Comfy beds. Clean room and bathroom. Great location!"

"Room was a little noisy. The bar is very popular with locals and tourists and has live music at weekends and cocktails hours. Can be quite noisy untill 11 pm so fine for adults but maybe not for young children. Not sure if it possible to get quieter rooms away from bar area."

"The location was very good for the hotel. It is right in the downtown and near many bars and restaurants."

"It was very loud with music playing in the courtyard below our room Friday night, but Saturday night was quiet. The bathroom door latch was not working properly when we stayed, so our "private bathroom" across the hall didn't necessarily remain private as we could not lock the door. There is no guest kitchen and there was no breakfast for purchase offered when we were there."

"Ich konnte in Cuenca durch den Independence Day kein freies, bezahlbares Hostel mehr finden. Trotz dass sie ausgebucht waren, haben sie mich noch aufgenommen und ich durfte auf der Couch im Gemeinschaftszimmer schlafen. Die Menschen haben ihr Herz definitiv an der richtigen Stelle und sind sehr sympathisch. Eine Woche zuvor habe ich für ein paar Tage im 6-Bett-Zimmer übernachtet und auch das war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung mit tollen Mitbewohnerinnen, sauberen Räumen und einer wundervollen, harmonischen Atmosphäre. Ich kann das Hostel wärmstens weiterempfehlen, insbesondere auch an Alleinreisende. Ich habe mich immer sicher und willkommen gefühlt."
