"A beautiful old building, well looked after with a lovely friendly owner and very near to the main plaza In the historic centre."

"The shower really let it down as extremely difficult to regulate and would suddenly get dangerously hot. A kitchen was advertised and though the owner was very welcoming and was happy for you to use it, it only comprised of a microwave, fridge, sink, cutlery. He also offered you to use his selection of teas and fruit. Thirdly the room was cleaned daily as advertised so the bathroom bin wasn’t emptied - sure they would have done it if we’d asked though."

"The location is excellent - set in the Historical Centre easy walking to supermarkets restaurants and the beautiful squares and plazas. It was quiet from traffic, had an awesome atmosphere, was extremely clean & cared for. I enjoyed my privacy though the staff were extremely helpful."

"All in all the stay was very good, just a couple of things. For the first night I was given a room in very poor conditions, but they moved me the next day to another one. The location is very good w.r.t. the city center and the street felt safe, but if you walk a couple of blocks in the other direction, you will reach a dangerous area, so just beware. Not easy to open the window of the bathroom for ventilation."

"The staff were the best part of our stay. Wilson was friendly and helpful and very accommodating to our needs. He upgraded us to a room with a window to the outside and it made all the difference to our being able to stay. Andreas, a staff member on another shift, was also very friendly and always asking to be of assistance. The location is excellent to see all the attractions of Quito."

"I love authentic hotels (not chains). This fit the bill. It is in excellent shape, the room was comfortable (but not spacious), and best of all, it faced an interior courtyard which meant it was complete isolated from street noise. However, I was the only guest there at the time. Had there been others, their noise would have gone right through their and my doors and windows, which are merely symbolic. So take that into account. Hot water was long in coming and hard to regulate. Bed as hard as a rock. Otherwise, it was a wonderful, restful stay."

"Das sehr saubere und ruhige Hotel liegt im historischen Zentrum. Die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat gepasst. Besonders hervorzuheben auch das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal."

"Mir persönlich waren die Kopfkissen zu hoch, doch mir wurde von den freundlichen Jungs am Empfang geholfen. Das Wasser der Dusche war etwas schwierig einzustellen. Mal war's zu heiß, dann wieder zu kalt. Dennoch: ein Hotel, das ich nur empfehlen kann!"
