I didn't think anything could exceed the beauty and majesty of the location until I met Gladys and her son Daniel who help maintain the location. They are wonderful people and incredibly kind and dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and welcome. They are interesting people in their own right and add to the charm and spirit of the place. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and fit the vibe and atmosphere. You are able to have a small piece of luxury framed within the rugged beauty of the Ecuadorian countryside. They also have bikes that you can ride which I didn't know about but was super happy to discover"

"There was nothing I didn't like. But visitors should be careful that the altitude of this region of Ecuador is very high, so be aware of your physical conditioning, and it can be chilly, particularly cold on cloudy/rainy days and at night."

"El paseo guiado y la amabilidad del dueño del lugar. La fruta del desayuno estaba deliciosa y las instalaciones son muy bonitas. Recomiendo hacer el paseo en 4x4. Quién los guiará tiene mucho carisma y buena conversación."

"Das Essen, sowohl Abendessen als auch Frühstück war sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Umgebung ist einfach atemberaubend schön und die Wanderungen durch den Polylepis-Wald bleieben ein unvergessliches Erlebnis."

"Leider sind die Unterkünfte sehr kalt. Man bekommt zwar eine Heizdecke für die Nacht, aber der Raum wird dadurch nicht warm und man kann sich eigentlich nur im Bett aufhalten. Es wäre besser, wenn die Räume eine Gesamtheizung hätten."

"El lodge está ubicado en un paraje único con una vegetación exótica y una tranquilidad que bien merece el paseo hasta allí. La cabaña tiene unas vistas a la loma de frailejones de película, uno no puede cansarse de esas vistas nunca. La comida que estaba incluida desayuno almuerzo a elegir y cena estaba riquísima, Gladis tiene unas manos de oro, y está muy atenta a los detalles, nos trató con mucho cariño desde el minuto uno. Celebramos el cumpleaños allí y nos ayudaron con los detalles. Israel te puede llevar a conocer el entorno, la cascada, la laguna etc. Están siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Conocimos las llamas que habitan la montaña y se dejan ver muy cerca, una auténtica maravilla para recomendar y repetir."

"Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut. Das Personal war super nett. Die Zimmer sind gerräumig mit fantastischem Blick und kuscheligen Heizdecken. Gleich nach unserer Ankunft wurde uns eine geführte Rundwanderung durch die Umgebung angeboten. Israel, unser Führer, hat uns mit großer Kenntnis und vielen Details Flora und Fauna erklärt und uns zu einem Aussichtspunkt gebracht. Am nächsten Tag hatten wir Gelegenheit mit Arturo sen. einen Ausflug in die Reserva Ecoógica zu einem großartigen Mirador und einer versteckten Lagune zu machen. Es war einmalig!"

"Sehr schöne Lage, Israel und seine Frau sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt einige Wanderwege, direkt von der Unterkunft aus. Die Dusche ist super und das Wasser richtig heiß. Im Zimmer gibt zwei elektronische Heizgeräte, die ab den Abendstunden wirklich notwendig sind."

"Describiría mi experiencia como "sentirse en casa". El lugar, la comida, las instalaciones perfectamente diseñadas y en armonía con el entorno, la caminata por el páramo complementada con lindas historias, pero principalmente, la calidez de Israel y su familia, nos hicieron sentirnos como en casa y entre amigos. Excelente todo, 100% recomendado. Volveré pronto!"
