"The room was clean, the common spaces tidy. Nothing fancy but it looked exactly like the photos. The location is perfect if you just need 1 night after or before a bus trip. The surroundings are a bit sketchy, but just be aware of it and you will be so fine. Just ask for the door code before arrival and check the photos on Google Maps to see how the main gate looks like. The host was very nice and the bed was super comfortable."

"Big room, big and comfortable bed, big shower/bathroom. 2 towels provided. Everything was very clean. Convenient 5 minute walk to the 7-10 bus terminal (now renamed Terminal Atlantico Norte). The property had a sturdy, locked gate at the entrance which made me feel safe in the neighbourhood, even though the neighbourhood felt a little sketchy. The hostess was lovely and even stayed up to the early hours of the morning to receive me since my flight was delayed. She also made me lunch before I left. Very lovely lady."

"Would recommend strongly for a one night stop if you need to be close to the bus station. The staff is the nicest ! They even shared their breakfast with us in the morning. We were happily surprise about the size of our private room and everything is very clean."

"The location is in such a deplorable area of San Jose, which is disappointing because the hostel was great. Lots of homeless lots of drug use, areas stinks of garbage and human waste."

"Perfect for what I wanted. I arrived by Transmonteverde bus from Monteverde at about 6.30pm at the 7-10 terminal. It was dark outside but everything was well lit and there were security guards at the terminal. The hostel is amost directly opposite the terminal entry. The instructions sent to me to get inside were perfect and it was very easy. Someone greeted me once inside and took payment and helped me find kitchen equipment. My room was large and comfy. There is a minimart next to the hostel that was open when I arrived. I had brought food with me and was able to make a meal in the well equipped kitchen at the hostel. As a single woman I felt very safe. I left early the next morning to walk 10 minutes to the Tuasa bus terminal to catch a bus to the airport (which cost about 900 colones). Walking in the area in daylight felt very safe - lots of people and police around."

"Great location for the bus terminal, which is why we chose it but it was much better than we expected - very impressed. Proving you don’t need to spend a fortune to get a good nights stay. Our room had everything we needed and the communal kitchen and lounge was ideal. Really liked the little roof balcony to relax with a beer at the end of a busy day."

"The location isn’t great at night but that’s made clear up front. It’s ideal for an overnight stay if you’re travelling by bus the next day."
