"I recently stayed Hotel El Congo and it was really comfortable. The hotel has a new owner and it is completely renovated and painted. The hotel is well located in downtown Drake Bay, on walking distance from the beach and the supermarkets and restaurants in town. The apartment had a good working kitchen and beautiful views from the terrace. I would definitely come back here."

"Ojalá siempre me recibieran en los lugares como me han recibido en este hotel la administradora no solo nos fue a buscar al aeropuerto sino que también se levantó temprano a la hora en la cual nosotros partíamos para las excursiones a corcovado además nos dejó guardar nuestras valijas mientras nosotros estábamos en esta excursión aunque ya nos habíamos retirado del Hotel la cama fue grande y cómoda y la ducha fue espectacular."

"El hotel está muy céntrico y sus habitaciones son amplias, cuentan con aire acondicionado y se encuentran remodeladas y limpias . Está cerca de la playa . La atención y servicio de limpieza fue constante y amable."

"Very warm welcome by the host of the Lodge (that is a little down the road from the restaurant. We went with her husband and guide Alex at 5:20 AM to search for Quetzales and saw four. When we came back we had breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant and had it almost for our own (it gets very busy during lunch with groups)."

"We stayed one night at this property and really enjoyed the experience. The absolute highlight of the place is the incredible view over the port, which you can enjoy directly from the terrace. It’s a very special setting and makes the stay feel quite unique. The property itself was clean and equipped with decent amenities, and the bathroom was also nice and comfortable. Inside the house there is a separate room with a door, which was useful for keeping light and potential insects out during the night. The terrace and the main viewing area are designed in a very open way, which allows you to fully enjoy the scenery and observe birds flying around. During our stay we didn’t have any problems with insects or animals and were able to enjoy the views peacefully."

"Alice y Juancito Boutique Hotel is an incredibly charming and cozy place. Our room (number 5 – the deluxe room with dark blue walls and matching curtains) was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely view of the garden. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect — just a few minutes from the airport. You don’t have to travel all the way into San José, and it’s an ideal starting point for the rest of your trip. Supermarkets, local sodas, and a small center are all nearby. The only minor downside was the mattress in room 5, which felt a bit outdated, so we didn’t sleep as comfortably as hoped. Overall, a very pleasant stay and definitely recommended."

"The location was great. Short walk to the beach. Several restaurants and convenience stores were within walking distance. Larger shopping areas were a short Uber ride away (5-10 min). Very quiet. I hardly saw any people in the hallways or outside. There was no one at the pool when I went several times, which was very nice. The room was nice,, spacious and clean. The sea and mountain views were beautiful and so peaceful. I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again."
