"Wonderful base to explore Escazu and San Jose, great space, views, host!"

"The biggest draw of this place is its beautiful, well-maintained surroundings—a true tropical garden. We were able to admire Costa Rica’s flora and fauna, including numerous animals (monkeys, agoutis, raccoons) and birds. The scenery is unforgettable. The beach is best suited for experienced swimmers (at least in February when we were there). The property is located some distance from town, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you."

"Casa Chicua is an adorable little cottage, rustic but comfortable, and Juan (the host) couldn’t have been any friendlier or more accomodating. It’s super close to the Volcán Irazu so perfect for an early morning visit there. The views from the cottage are also amazing, we awoke early to find ourselves above the clouds. Enchanting!"

"It was sort of like a compound. Once you entered the gate, there were four structures, ours being at the end of the property. It felt very safe and had a beautiful view. It's a tiny house, so was small, but you had the outdoor kitchen and firepit which made the space larger. Alonso was an excellent host. We would definitely stay here again."
