"It was so peaceful, and the staff were brilliant and very welcoming. Such a perfect location on the hillside looking over the lake. The accommodation was super comfortable, it was difficult to leave!"

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

The views of the green hills surrounding the property are absolutely stunning and provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation. A major plus: the actual location and atmosphere are even better than the pictures suggest! The photos on the website are modest compared to the wonderful reality. Highly recommended for a peaceful and beautiful escape."

"Our third visit to the chalet....as ever, the chalet was beautifully presented, comfortable and warm, with everything you need. The view is to die for and Noirin and her husband were a great help, as always, and looked after us in every way....a tue gem of a property...."

"This accommodation is absolutely wonderful! The house is beautiful and very clean. Even though there is no air conditioning, it stays surprisingly cool. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are also dogs, cats, and chickens on the property, which we really enjoyed. They are super sweet. The property manager, Jésus, is such a kind person. He is always available and happy to help if you need anything. I would definitely recommend this place."

The only downside is that it can get quite noisy. Every morning around six, the school bus drives through the main street honking loudly. There are also a lot of trucks passing by, which can be pretty noisy. On top of that, the rooster loves standing right next to the bedroom window to wake you up. Since there is a school next door, you will also hear music and kids early in the morning.

A nosotros nos tocaron días de lluvia y la calle para llegar se pone bastante difícil de transitar. Lo único que no funcionaba bien es la canilla de la cocina, que estaba suelta.
