"The Hotel was clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast was good, the location was perfect, 5 minutes walking distance from Fox Town, next to the highway and from the Mendrisio Train Station."

"The restaurants were close too early in the evening, the bars where close on Sunday. We requested a tween room because we are two girlfriends travelling together, however, the beds couldn't be separated because the side tables are built into the wall."

"Breakfast could be improved with some higher quality pastries/croissant and jams. Coffee was good, but breakfast still lacks the atmosphere of a 4* hotel (trays, plastic feeeling napkins, etc)."

"The girl on the desk was so friendly and helpful. She gave us great advice for our travel the following day and gave us complimentary tickets for our train to the airport the following morning. There was water in the lobby which was much needed and appreciated. There is just an extra touch with a hotel that leaves water in your room and a kettle for tea and coffee. It hints at a generosity that permeates the whole experience and this was the case in The new Midi. The bed was also extremely comfortable as was the temperature in the room. Lovely soaps and lotions were complimentary too. A brilliant location.. close to everything.. Great value for money!"

Alma Hotel was a small, like a boutique-style hotel: peaceful, with exceptionally elegant, delicate and serene interior design, and a cozy atmosphere. The beautiful room was furnished in a way that absolutely everything necessary was there and placed logically, which isn’t the case in most hotels. The hotel was located on a quiet and calm street, yet within walking distance of everything important: cultural venues, restaurants, shops, and public transport. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and wonderfully diverse. It’s officially a 3-star hotel, yet the comfort and quality are far beyond what could expect from that rating."
