"Location was perfect - 50 feet from the water in the heart of Hopkins Village - away from resorts and other tourists. Right next door to a locally owned Garifuna restaurant. The family made our trip with cultural drumming, singing, and dancing each night and we booked a fishing trip with them - hand lining for snapper that was then cooked for us the next 2 nights - epic! Stay here for the true experience of Hopkins. Beds were super comfortable, huge bathroom with hot water, and mini fridge were perfect. Super convenient with bikes provided to ride around the area, close to mainland things to do (cockscomb basin, chocolate tour), and stores for water and snacks."

"Fabulous location and the staff went out of their way to fix the AC when it broke. The kitchen was great allowing full self catering. Loved the bongo drums from the beach cafe next door and watching the young kids practice their moves"

"We could look out over the ocean every day from our room, from the front deck and from the rooftop deck. It was central to the town of Hopkins which made it easy to walk to restaurants and activities in both directions It was nice and quiet even with the beach bar below"

"Our place at Buttonwood was like a small apartment in town. There were 3 of us so we appreciated the extra space. We liked being in town and for a short stay feeling like part of a community. It's priced less and a good value."

"The friendly staff at Coconut Row who managed Buttonwood Belize were helpful, patient, and accommodating. The food at the Coconut Husk restaurant was delicious. The rooms were clean, very well equipped, and appointed. The excursion to the Mayan site was well orchestrated. The town of Hopkins offers a lovely glimpse onto the local Belizean culture."
